Importance of Wetland Conservation in Louisiana

write a position letter to the governor of Louisiana, explaining why is important to support and invest in wetland conservation for the state of Louisiana. I need to have background information from peer reviewed papers that backed my point. In the letter I should include the importance of wetlands not only  for wildlife conservation, but fore humans, have sources that backed the idea that in conserving wetlands the impact on hurricanes are reduced, and by reducing hurricanes impact there less economic losses in the state. New Orleans should have some central focus because it is a city below sea level and greatly affected by flooding. Propose other possible solutions for draining canals, when overflooding that don’t affect the wetlands as much.
