Intercultural Communications and COVID
The COVID pandemic has changed intercultural communications techniques around the world. While there are some universals related to how cultures have dealt with the disease, there are subtle differences related to cultural dimensions. Many of you have experienced these differences first hand give that you’ve had an opportunity to witness the disease un America and your home country. Others who are US citizens have experiences sub-cultural differences in the ways different regions and demographics gather information about the pandemic and how they react to it. Please offer your observations about the strengths and weaknesses you’ve seen in COVID related communications here in the US and compare or contrast how you’ve seen it in other countries. Is there anything other cultures have done that are more effective in communicating the dangers of COVID ? Are there any horror stories related to communication in the US and especially across borders as the virus traveled around the world.
