For this short essay, you will explore intercultural healthcare systems. The goal of this assignment is for you to explore another country’s approach to healthcare systems to learn more about the advantages and disadvantages of their systems in comparison to ours here in the U.S.

In the past few weeks, we’ve discussed the landscape of health communication and diverse insurance and health systems. In this paper specifically, you will select any country of your choice and compare/contrast its healthcare system with that of the U.S. Your essay should address the following three prompts: What is your selected country’s approach to healthcare, in comparison to the U.S. (i.e., their healthcare system, insurance system(s), etc.)?

What are the general healthcare trends in the country, in comparison to the U.S. (i.e.,health rates, morbidity rates/percentages, maternal mortality rates, overall health trends, etc.)? What are some of the most pressing healthcare concerns or issues in your selected country, in comparison to the U.S.?
