Internship Character Development Review
Give a thorough evaluation and discussion of your growth and development over the course of your internship. In greater detail than presented in your Oral Presentation (see below), address each of the points of discussion: · Discuss what you have learned from your internship, about the type of placement where you interned and the population you worked. Indicate what you learned from: o your literature review (if any – cite references.); o your internship experiences (Be specific; cite your journals as your personal references. Any section of your journals may be useful to illustrate/support your statements.) · Discuss your areas of strength/competency that helped you perform more effectively at your placement. Such strengths/competencies may include: o specific behaviors; skills/skill sets; o areas of knowledge or information; o psychological characteristics; capacity for emotional regulation; AND, o attitudes/cognitive perspectives; o cite your journals to illustrate/support your statements (esp. self-reflections). · Discuss areas where you felt challenged or lacking in knowledge/ability during your internship, including areas where you experienced some improvement, as well as areas where further development may come from: o additional professional experience; o graduate school or other professional training, AND/OR, o your own maturity; o cite your journals to illustrate/support your statements (esp. self-reflections). · Discuss how your internship experience has: o changed you as a person, AND, o impacted your future career choices and goals.
