Historically, prison management was really a chain of command, top down run organization. For the purposes, let us think of corrections management as people management.
The readings discuss management and supervisory theories and styles, new directions for prison management, and supervision of inmates.
Your assignment is to discuss the differences between management and leadership in an institution. Are they the same? What are the needs for future administration? Base your comments regarding the future of administration on research and current theories.

What new things might just work in Corrections? Your response should go beyond the obvious, include additional research, and be written at a graduate level. Your answer must be no less than 1000 words with three resources.
