Modern Day Islam and Immigration
Modern Day Islam & Immigration Immigration has been an issue in the United States for many years. As early as the 19th century there was a big push to put a limit on the number of peoples who came to the U.S. Some of these arguments continued into the 20th century as well, particularly during the Red Scare (fear of communism) in the 1920s. Today the issue is not communist immigrants but Muslim immigration. There is a push again to have some sort of limitation/background check on people coming from Muslim countries to the U.S. This week’s question is: Where do you stand on this issue? Do you believe people from all countries, even those who have been identified as threats or voiced their opposition to the U.S. be allowed to immigrant here? Defend your answer.
