Research Paper. The paper must be at least 20 pages long (not including the title page and bibliography), in current Turabian format, with default margins, and in 12-pt Times New Roman font. Each paper must include citations to at least 20 scholarly sources, which should include the course readings and other sources, such as academic journals or books published by university presses, supporting and/or illustrating your positions. Each paper must include a title page and bibliography, also in current Turabian format.   Research Paper Topic:  Is the Christian conception of Natural Law indispensable to a coherent moral theory of the State?   In your paper, be sure to mention the Natural Law thinkers examined in the course and include the many Natural Law concepts contained in their theories: justice, statesmanship, covenant, Christian kingship, democracy, the interaction between religious and civil offices, and positive law/public policy formation.   Be sure to read closely the grading rubric for the assignment. Scriptural excerpts with citations are required in all written assignments.
