Net Neutrality
For the final project for this class, assume you have just been hired as an assistant/clerk to the junior senator. Your first assignment is to draft TWO position papers for the senator in response to some outrage expressed by her constituents over something they call, “net neutrality”. Your boss admits she doesn’t really know anything about the issue, so she wants you to prepare one 5-paragraph argument IN FAVOR of net neutrality, and one 5-paragraph argument AGAINST. She wants you to cite your sources and to explain the issue thoroughly but briefly. What she wants is “talking points”; in other words, she wants to be able to converse with her constituents intelligently. Make sure you explain what it is exactly, and make one or two good arguments as well as at least one counter-argument. So, two papers, 5 paragraphs each, with works cited in MLS, one FOR “net neutrality”, and one paper against “net neutrality”.
