The New Jersey State Board of Education has mandated the Professional Standards for Teachers as part of teacher licensing regulations. They “illustrate the wide range of knowledge and abilities contemporary educators must possess to provide high-quality instruction and support improved results.”Stockton’s Teacher Education Program has made teaching you about the Standards a priority.Demonstrate your understanding of the Professional Standards for Teachers by doing the following in 4-6 pages:1. Craft an overview of the Standards, including their purpose, content and structure.Do Not list all standards. A general overview of the standards is needed. (1 page)2. Select two Standards, explain them in detail with knowledge, dispositions, andperformances plus specifically communicate why you believe they are especially essential toquality teaching.
