[ORDER SOLUTION] Performances Of Music
For this assignment you will attend two performances of music this semester and write a two-page report about each concert. Because of the pandemic, live concerts may not be available, so this does NOT open the concert reports to everything on YouTube or other online sites. If you attend live concerts, the level should be college or adult. No Elementary, Jr. High or High School Concerts will be accepted. Please have your instructor approve any live concerts you may wish to use for these concert reports. The first concert report can be about any style of music (classical or non-classical). You will be graded on this first report and will receive feedback from your instructor with suggestions about any improvements that might be advisable for your second concert report. The second concert report should be written only after the first report has been graded and you have received feedback from your instructor. The second concert report must be of a classical concert. You can write a very brief description of the venue and other observations about the concert, but the bulk of your paper should focus on the actual music you heard.Be sure to address the following:Evaluate the performance and write intelligently about the music you hear. Evaluate not only the music itself but also the quality of the performance. Be sure to give examples to support you claims. This is not a paper about the history of the music or the history of the ensemble/performers. It is about what you experienced.Consider how the context of external factors (venue, sound system, etc.) might influence your position regarding your critique of the performance.Consider what diverse, new, unique or contradictory factors are influential in your writing about the concert. Please go into greater depth than whether you like the music or not.Your final paragraph should address a general conclusion/summation about your experience at the concert while considering the music/performance presented. Each report should be typed and 2 pages in length, double spaced. Use 1 margins and no font larger than 12 point. Page 2 of the report must fill at least 2/3 of the page. Concert reports that do not meet this length requirement will have a point deduction of 20 points. The heading should be just your name in the upper corner of the page and a centered title. Headings that take up more space than this will not count toward the length of the paper. An MLA format heading should NOT be used for the concert reports. Include the date, time and location of the concert only if it was live.To aid your memory in writing, it is best to turn in the report as soon as you have attended a concert. Please I do NOT accept late concert reports. It is to your advantage to attend concerts and write your reports well in advance of the due dates. If you are unsure if a live concert you are planning to attend meets the requirements for a concert report, please contact your instructor.
