reflect on how you have matured, developed and grown as a person.  Whether you are aware of it or not, during the past three or four years, you will have gained experience, learned new skills and developed competences that will serve you well as you enter the workforce.  Taking time to reflect on and acknowledge this will help to grow in confidence.  It will also help you to identify gaps in these areas so that you can set yourself goals for future personal, career and academic development.  There are two parts to the narrative:1. provide a broad reflection on the last few years. Consider academic skills that you learned such as critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills, personal skills such as resilience, dealing with difficult events or people and skills that will be important for your career such as leadership, collaboration and networking.  You do not need to provide long lists of your acquired skills and competences. Draw on the academic literature to interpret you experience and to describe how you have learned and became more competent in these areas.2.Next, having reflected on your development to date, consider areas of your repertoire that need further development and how you can address these gaps.  Draw on the academic literature to illustrate the complexity of these shills and why they are important in life and/or in the workplace.  For example, you might focus on specifics types of communication skills that you have not mastered as well as you would like to, and set specific goals to become better at this.
