Personal Statement for PHD Admission
I have a bachelor degree in accounting and got it in 2012 from Taibah University (Saudi Arabia) and the I got masters degree in accounting in 2017 from Arkansas state university. I have one your professional experience in auditing (doing Risk assessment, internal auditing and external auditing ) with Grant Thornton (Riyadh Saudi Arabia). From 2018 to 2019. Participated in several engagement doing (Risk assessment, fraud investigation, policies and procedures). Also, participated in several external audient for big corporation in Saudi Arabia. I loved it so much, but I have to go to the academic world as it is my passion to research. Then I got a job as faculty staff member at Institute of Public Administration (IPA) at accounting department from 2019 until now. I still work with them. 2 years of experience. I got a full scholarship from IPA to do m PHD in accounting. I teach Auditing, risk management and corporate governance along with principle of accounting. I also participated in a study on the governmental aspect for measuring the risk management maturity level of Saudi government. Also, I train governmental officials on internal auditing along with external auditing. My academic interests are in auditing, corporate governance and risk management. I have written a PHD proposal titled A comparative analysis of the quality of audit disclosures between developed and emerging economies My goal is to be a great researcher who will add significant value to the accounting profession by dedicating my time and energy and I enjoy researching and reading. Love teaching as well and enjoy it so much. I choose University of Oregon because it has one of the best PHD accounting program with great reputation professor. Also, another part is that I love the weather of Oregon and i visited it many times.
