ESSAY TOPIC: Citizens, elected officials, and political scientists have argued for centuries that the president has either too much or too little power. You will choose ONE area of presidential power to write a historical analysis of how the power of the presidency has grown and why there is concern over this: presidential pardons, executive orders, or executive privilege.
