Purchase Agreements
Answer this in IRAC format Wilbert Heikkila listed eight parcels of real property for sale. David McLaughlin submitted written offers to purchase 3 of the parcels. 3 purchase agreements were prepared and submitted to Heikkila with earnest- money checks from McLaughlin. On one of the contracts, Heikkila changed the price of one parcel from $145,000 to $150,000. He also changed the closing dates on all three properties. McLaughlin did not sign the contracts to accept the changes that Heikkila made. McLaughlin sued to compel performance of the purchase agreements under the original terms. Does a contract to convey real property exist between Heikkila and McLaughlin?
