This scholarly article reviews the implications of technology on the change of consumer behavior. More particularly, the authors research on the impacts of Covid-19 on the consumer. The article connotes on the change of food reserve scale as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown and the future regarding food security. Rather than stockpiling of food, it is important that there be alternative solutions such as GM foods since any stockpiled fresh agricultural products would not last long at the consumer shelves. This peer-reviewed journal investigates the impacts of Covid-19, especially in food security and health risks. GM foods are quoted as the main favorable factors for enhancing food safety and security. While GM foods have been safe alternatives, there is a need to have them in future regardless of such crisis or pandemic because they are key solutions to limited organic food supply and costly agricultural products
