Rate of change/velocity
Im stuck on a Calculus question and need an explanation.
A car is moving along a straight test track. The position in feet of the car, s(t), at various times t is measured, with the results shown use the table to answer the following:
(a) find the average velocity from 0-2 seconds (ft/s)
(b) Find the average velocity from 2-4 seconds (ft/s)
(c) Find the average velocity from 4-6 seconds (ft/s)
(d) Estimate the instantaneous velocity at 4 seconds using the formula for estimating the instantaneous rate (with h=2)
Chart provided
