Description: Popular media, such as film, is the site of many interpretations and representations of intercultural communication and relationships. After selecting a film, students will write a paper that analyzes the relationships and key messages of the film from a power-based perspective. Students must thoroughly explain at least one relevant key in connection with the themes of the film. Your paper should use elements and examples from the film to show how is demonstrated between characters, contexts of power, or cultural institutions represented in the film.
