Self-Reflection
Contemplate a what if scenario that you may confront in the future, presenting a self-reflection exercise where you will have the opportunity to apply different concepts learned during the course as well as your own experience. Suppose that, after completing your MBA, you are offered a job as a management consultant in a firm specialized in engagement and productivity. One of your first assignments is related to the education sector, specifically working with a large university. The overall goal of the project you’re managing is to identify and enhance the motivational factors of students in a well-known university. The purpose is to help improve student motivation and learning engagement to help students reach their goal of degree completion. Because you have recently finished your studies, you feel you have a good understanding of the elements that motivate and de-motivate students. Reflecting on your own experiences as a learner, write a 2-3-page paper considering motivational factors and proposing strategies a client could consider in order to improve student success. Be sure to relate your reflection to concepts that you have learned in this course and in other courses in your MBA program. Be sure to properly cite any resources you use.
