Shakespeare Hamlet Play
Show knowledge and understanding of the play Hamlet by Shakespeare. Focus on the character Claudius (Hamlets brother). Also focus on one theme. Connect the character to the theme and trace how Shakespeare uses the character in relation to the theme as the play develops. Title your essay with the characters name and the idea! Organize your essay in chronological order by act and scene, describing how the character in the theme youve chosen are connected to the events in that scene. Write for an audience familiar with the play. Use plot points as evidence but dont fluff up your essay with plot summary or biography of Shakespeare. And example would be Claudius and his power. Remember go through the play chronologically time in order and list the act scene as you go along you may organize the essay with those as headings if you like. Include 2 scholarly sources and include a Works Cited.
