Social Welfare Program Designs
Rationale for Measure: Students will demonstrate knowledge and values of basic concepts and principles on public social welfare policy, social welfare program designs, and the instruments through which they are expressed: governmental organizations, public departments, welfare bureaus and faith-based organizations. One of the major objectives of this course is to enable social work practitioners to conduct an analysis of the policies that affect some aspect of their practice. Thus, the capstone assignment for the semester is the researching and analysis of a major policy that affects the service delivery system of services on a micro, macro, and mezzo social work practices.
