[SOLVED] feedback post
I need help with a Management question. All explanations and answers will be used to help me learn.
Why does the Business Process Analysis (BPA) approach consider knowing the as-is process as important, while the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach does not consider the as-is process? Which approach do you think it more prevalent today, and why? you dont have to answer that question. just give me feedback from down below options (A-C) 2-5 sentece is fine. choose any two
A. Business Process Analysis (BPA) approach of the as-is process is important because it is validated with the process owner and gives a baseline of the business process whereas the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach makes the as-is difficult when processes are not documented and are only known to the people involved. In today’s organization, it is most beneficial to have a business process analysis (BPA) approach making it owned and a process in place to be implemented by all.
B.Knowing BPA is very important because this process is more about improving the business process as-is and trying to make it more efficient and effective. With BPR, it is more focused on getting rid of the old system and trying to recreate a better system because the business old system had no way of being updated. Most businesses now use the BPA method because it is easier to add to a process and improve it, then recreating a brand new process for the business. Using BPR is become costly when implementing a new system compared to just improving the system and adding updates to make it better.
C. The Business Process Analysis approach considers the as-is process important since the analysis goal in putting together the current state process is to clarify just how the business process works currently. Discovering and documenting the current state of the business process in an organization processes is necessary to show how the business process works today. On the other hand, the Business Process Reengineering approach considers the documentation of actual processes to be time consuming and incomplete, thus providing no valued results. I feel that the Business Process Analysis approach is more prevalent today and necessary. With modern technology, more extensive projects, and global economies, it is essential to know and document the current state of a business process. Having an as-is can give a clear picture of the current existing processes and can help with future operations or improvements.
