[SOLVED] PSY 306 Module 5 Discussion: Self-Determination Theory

Need help with my Psychology question – I’m studying for my class.

Due tomorrow- Wednesday October, 16th

After taking the BPMN Balanced Measure of Psychological Needs, describe your balance of the 3 self-determination theory universal needs presented on pages 197-199 of the Twenge & Campbell text you think most applies to you and why.

This sums it up nice: This theory suggests that people are able to become self-determined when their needs for competence, connection, and autonomy are fulfilled.

Please use the competence as I need my coworkers and supiors to not only trust me that I know what I am doing, but also my fiance. Relatonships are tough, and I would feel so much better it she had more faith in everyhting I do.

For autonomy, I alreayd have this in my life. I have the power and authority to do what i want and when, even at work. I would liek to keep this in my life. it is very important to me that I can say either yes or no depending on the situation.

For connection. It is very important to me that I have an outside friendship with my team and work mates. But, it is also so imoortant to stay in touch with my immediate family. We live close enough to see each other, yet we never really do. I need more of that in my life.
