Discussion: Methods
As you build a research article summary in the Discussion, you put together three key points: the studys purpose, the methods, and the findings. If the purpose answers the Why? question (Why was this study conducted?), then the methods answer the How? (How did the researchers conduct the study?).
For this Discussion, you summarize the methods of the sample research study and reflect on the process.
To prepare for this Discussion:
- Review the materials on summarizing and using citations.
- Access the research article found in the Learning Resources.
By Day 4
Post your initial 1- to 2-paragraph response that addresses the following:
- What was the method(s) used by the authors in the study? Summarize the methods in your own words and include a citation.
- Additionally, reflect on the process of summarizing the methods. Pose any questions and/or explain challenges that came up during the process.
