Diagnostic Essay

I’m trying to learn for my English class and I’m stuck. Can you help?

A diagnostic essay is an unofficial practice essay. It allows you to demonstrate to me what you remember from ENG 101 (Composition I). Although it is an unofficial practice essay, you should still write it in a formal tone and incorporate normal MLA format rules. (See the hand-out labeled “MLA Format” for more details.)

Write a diagnostic essay that is 800-1200 words in length that analyzes Frank Warren’s TED talk entitled “Half a Million Secrets.”

If you could boil his point down to a single statement, what do you believe his point would be? What support does Warren use throughout the TED talk in order to make his point? Analyze the effectiveness of Warren’s support–is it always helpful? Does it sometimes detract from his main argument?
