The Prophet

Your third writing project is a practical application of any single section we have read from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. LENGTH: The body of your essay is to be around 600 words in length. ASSIGNMENT: In this paper, you will offer your own interpretation of what Gibran is saying in his writing and what sort of application you can make of it in your own life. This means that, unlike other writing assignments in this class, you get to talk about yourself. RESEARCH: No outside research is needed; just make sure you cite the poem(s) you work with (works cited and in-text). PURPOSE: This is a critical essay and not a general, informative paper. You must be able to apply your findings to the topic and draw a conclusion that will offer your readers a unique insight to the poem.
