The Yellow Wallpaper

It should be an argumentative essay in which you present your interpretation of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and try to convince the reader that your interpretation is correct. Thesis: (please use this as a thesis) Gilman uses symbolism and imagery to chart her narrator’s descent into madness, a descent which is foreshadowed early on in the story and which serves not only as a portrait of one woman’s suffering but also as an object lesson in the profound psychological impact of female oppression.
