Read Case 13.2: SCOTUS and Below: Comparing the U.S. Supreme Court and Lower Federal Courts’ Contribution to policy making, policy analysis, and the decision-making process in the Public Administration.  

Write a 1,050 to 1,400-word paper that addresses each of the following: Compare the roles of the U.S. Supreme Court and the lower federal courts and the effects each has on influencing the policy-making and decision-making process in the public sector.

Assess their relative contributions to public administration and the overall public sector policy process. As the author notes, the lower courts are typically the last stop for more than 99% of all cases, whoever shapes the judiciary before SCOTUS could well make it the most quiet but lasting legacy. If you wanted to maximize your impact on policy making and decision-making in the public sector, where you would invest most of your energy?
