Universal Design Website Analysis
Step 1: Select an organization in your career field to evaluate. Note: You may choose any active organization (non-profit, for profit or government) with a current website. Step 2: Review the web videos found in your Slides, Media and Supplemental Materials: 7 Principles of Universal Design and Why We Need Universal Design Step 3: Write a brief introduction statement about the agency you have chosen and include the organization name, what the organization does, who they serve, and the weblink to the organization. Step 4: Evaluate the design, graphics, and content of the website using the 7 core elements of universal design. 1) Equitable Use; 2) Flexibility of Use; 3) Simple and Intuitive Use; 4) Tolerance for Error; 5) Perceptible Information; 6) Low Physical (Mental) Effort; 7) Size and Space for Approach and Space Structure Guidelines: Organization and weblink are clearly identified Use Narrative or bullet points APA formatting not required Recommended length of original submission: Approximately 500-600 words Citations required only if referencing course materials
