Argumentative Research PaperAs you complete your Annotated Bibliographies, you have built up a body of research and your own basic understanding of an environmental issue that we can do something about. For this assignment, you will use that body of research (and additional research) to prepare an Argumentative Research Essay that will take a stance on what should be done to deal with the issue you have chosen and argue your point using relevant supporting ideas. Your goal is to create a focused argument. You will not only be showing why we should do this, but why it is better than other alternatives. This means working in opposing ideas and explaining why they fall short. The best papers typically take a nuanced stance rather than outright support or condemnation.This paper is a minimum of five (5) full pages, but that does not mean you should stop work once you reach the minimum page count. Take the time to develop a comprehensive, well-reasoned argument as fully as possible. You will need to provide multiple supporting ideas that back your thesis and deal with counterclaims in a respectful manner. You will need at least five (5) sources, three (3) of which must be academic. This means, at the very least, finding an additional source in addition to those you will have from the annotated bibliography.You are arguing one solution/one course of action/one method for dealing with your issue. Your goal is not to simply say the issue is a concern or to recommend multiple ways to deal with it. Instead, this assignment seeks to push you to develop a single idea and provide as much support as possible.
