Short Essay:
Where does your city (where you reside) gets its water from?
What issues has your city faced in obtaining their water resources or will face? (if applicable)
Have there been any issues related to the quality of the water? (if applicable)
You can also include any other issues related your city’s water resource such as the type of water (hard water, soft water, etc.), the treatment of water, the cost of obtaining the resource, etc.
You don’t need to answer all of the questions, just the ones that may apply to your city.
Check your city’s website for information regarding your drinking water, it is public information that is accessible to you. (Your city’s website only counts as a single source)
Elements to include and consider for the paper:
Include your sources (a minimum of 3-4 sources) and always support your claims.
Use credible sources: reputable newspaper articles, city/county website, journal article, books, etc.
Limit yourself to using only one quote if you do include one, page number is a must when using a quote for the in-text citation
Structure of the paper (this is just an example):
Introduce the issue you chose to focus on and give an overview on what will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
Focus on one of the issues for your topic and support it with your sources. Who or what gets impacted by this (or the outcome of it)?

Why are we doing this? And, what personal benefit will you get?
Learn the where your city’s water comes from and the issues involved around it.
Learn about any potential issues regarding the water that may impact your personal life.
