What are your thoughts?? In holistic nursing, research has confirmed that all aspects of patients and their effects on the treatment process are considered and the patients’ thoughts, emotions, cultures, opinions, and attitudes are factored in as contributing to recovery, happiness, and satisfaction (Zamanzadeh et al., 2015).  Therefore, applying this evidence of holistic nursing to my workplace which is a correctional facility makes it a crucial factor in delivering high-quality patient care through nursing implementation of evidence-based research which has also confirmed according to Kueny, Shever, Mackin & Titler (2015) that patient outcomes improve when nurses practice in an evidence-based manner. Furthermore, the application of this researched or evidence-based and proven holistic nursing approach in the correctional facility is bound to show an increase in patient safety, improve clinical outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and decrease variation in patient outcomes (Black et al., 2015).
