Women’s Films
The series of short-response questions I will pose throughout the semester will help you prepare for our weekly Zoom meetings and for exams at the end of units. You will be using terms and concepts that are basic to the study of film.
You will be exploring ideas about the films you have recently viewed. Research has long demonstrated that writing about a subject helps the writer to remember that subject matter better and to discover new insights about it.
Question While the three films assigned this week have represented different forms and styles of non-fiction film, all have been directed by women, and all have centered on female experience.
In what ways have the films explored similar female experience? In what ways, have the films explored different aspects of women’s lives? Your response should be 450-600 words.
