Workplace Safety for Nurses
Provide an introduction in one paragraph. The purpose of this paper is to define and review statistics, summarize a two research studies, identify Evidence Based (EBP) interventions, and one legal/economic(or whatever your choose) etc…2) Define and review the current statistics (within last 1-2 years) r/t issue (20%) This should include specific relevant statistics related to your problem/issue3) Summarize 2 research studies, for each study specifically summarize the problem, purpose, research question or hypotheses, cite and describe tools/instruments used, sample size, major study findings including major statistical findings including p value (i.e. < 0.05) major findings and recommendations/EBP strategies (25%). Studies must be RESEARCH and within last five years.4) Identify and discuss current recommended EBP Practice (can be protocols/guidelines) and nurses role/voice and the nurses role with the team/interprofessional role in initiating change/improvement in care (25%). EBP Nsg and team interventions must be specific i.e. such as guidelines to prevent Pressure Injuries.... Specific guidelines to reduce patient falls (don't just state or say Fall Bundles, but what are the specific interventions)5) Identify at least two policy/legal and/or economic/global issues/implications specifically related to the topic (20%).You may discuss one policy and one legal or two of any topic (you may mix as long as you discuss two implications)
