Please address one of the following two questions:

I’m stuck on a Business question and need an explanation.

Please address one of the following two questions:

Steven F Goldstone, Chairman and CEO of RJR Nabisco (one of the largest US cigarette manufacturers) said in a 1998 magazine interview, “I have no moral view of this business…I few it as a legal business. You shouldn’t be drawing a moral judgment about a business our country says is perfectly legal and is taxed like crazy by it.” Think about his comment in terms of ethical awareness. What might change if you think of your business in terms of ethics and not just legal terms? What about the class action lawsuits that were settled for billions and set aside for future claims even while cigarettes are still sold avidly? What about applying these principles to the legalization and sale of marijuana in several US States?

case proposal

Can you help me understand this Business question?

1.5 to 2 pages double space

The Proposal should describe a strategic business challenge situation, related to one the following strategic issues: (a) the challenge of business positioning/establishment (including entering a new market issue), (b) the challenge of extension (including new market entry) or (c) the challenge of managing business portfolio with business growth/decline.

In your proposal, first, Introduce the company. This can be any type of organization (nonprofit, business, government, educational, etc.) in any country. We encourage you to consider your native country/community as the place where you find the organization to write about. Please provide us with the name of the organization (you later can disguise the name of the organization in your project).

Then,
1. Describe the challenge and the situation around the challenge (around 1 page).

  • What challenge does the company face? What decision is to be made?
  • Where is the challenge located (organization, industry, country)?
  • When did the company face this dilemma?
  • Who is a key decision-maker (a person, a group)?
  • Why is it important for a company/decision-maker to solve this challenge?

The situation around the challenge: What triggered the challenge? Has the company already started working on this challenge? Describe a line of events. Describe the stand of major stakeholders towards this challenge, including competing points of view on how the situation/dilemma should be resolved.

2. Identify your access to the data (first-hand data/interviews or publicly available data). Explain

3. Identify your rationale for selecting this company for the project. Relate it to your career trajectory — based on the industry, type of organization, or type of the strategic challenge of your interest.

Discussion Prompt 1

Coping With Death

In your opinion, is denying one’s own impending death a beneficial way of coping? How might it impact development positively and negatively? Provide examples of practices that indicate death acceptance and death avoidance. Support your reasoning with information from the text and other course materials.

Discussion Prompt 2

Coping With Loss

Some people believe that in modern societies, unlike traditional communities, we do not allow enough time and social support for the bereaved to process death and mourn loss. Do you agree or disagree? How do childhood experiences and cultural and social rituals impact the bereavement process? Next, read the following blog post “Supporting Grieving Families: Tips for RNs and Others on the Front Line.” Why do you think healthcare providers receive so little training in grief response? Do you think grief support is worthwhile to include as a major part of healthcare training? Explain.

Discussion 1 comment 1

In my opinion, denial of one’s death can have both positive and negative affects on older adults. A positive reason why denial can be a good way to approach death is because it can be used to avoid the destructive impact of shock by delaying the necessity of dealing with one’s death (Santrock, 2017). When someone is in denial about their death it can protect the individual from having to cope with intense feelings of anger and hurt. Although, denial can have a negative impact on someone who is coping with death. With denial they might think it is not necessary to receive treatment (especially life-saving treatment) when they need it (Santrock, 2017). When someone is in denial they might put off going to get check-ups which might be necessary to keep them alive. That is why denial can be both good, and bad, depending on how the individual acts when they are in denial. Some effects of death can be that they make the person dying more spiritual. In a study it showed that many people who had advance congestive heart failure got more spiritual as they got closer to death (Santrock, 2017). Acceptance is when the dying person develops a sense of peace, an acceptance in his fate, and a desire to be left alone. Death avoidance is when they are doing anything to distract themselves of the feelings they have to face, and deny and isolate theirselves.

Discussion 2 comment 1

I do agree that in modern society we do not allow enough time and social support for people to process death and mourn a loss. In today’s society we are given a few days to a week to mourn the death of a close relative and then we are forced to go back into work or school if we don’t want to miss out on getting paid or being dropped from a class. Different cultures affect the bereavement process differently, for example in Bali the the bereaved are encouraged to laugh and be joyful (Santrock, 2017). In different cultures they believe they should still keep contact with the spirit of the dead. In western cultures we just have a funeral where we say goodbye to our loved one once and for-all and kind of forget about them, and don’t believe that we need to continue bonds with the deceased. All cultures have different grieving practices, and none is greater than the other, but help them in different ways. I think that health care providers aren’t really taught in grief response because it is something hard to teach. There is no right answer and it will vary with different cases. Some people grieve in different ways, and have different outlooks regarding death so it hard to teach one precise answer. It is something that will be learned through experience and needs to come from a genuine place, while still being proffesional.

ACC410 Audit Report Modifications

I’m stuck on a Accounting question and need an explanation.

The final paper will be based on Appendix 6C Illustrative Audit Case: Keystone Computers at pages 237-244 in your text. Write, in outline format but in complete sentences, a 6 to 10 page audit plan. It is recommended that you look at Figure 18.8 on page 708, which shows the control objectives related to accounts receivable.

In your audit plan cover the steps necessary to determine if you should select the client, the internal control procedures which need to be reviewed, the substantive tests [using accounts receivable a guide], and the final reporting steps. Based on the actual facts in the case determine the emphasis you want to place on various accounts. Also reflect back over your entire accounting program and think about how the accounts are interrelated. For example, when allowance for doubtful accounts is credited the offset is to bad debt expense. Therefore one of the steps should be to trace the debit side of the entry to the balance for bad debt expense.

Make your comments as specific as possible. Rather than say look for unusual entries, say look for entries from unusual sources and rounded amounts with focus on those near an accounting cut off. Use precise language. Rather than saying you “vouched accounts payable,” say that you looked at the item to determine that it was a bona fide business expense. Remember to focus on the key audit objectives and support needed after applying the audit risk model.

Remember, the purpose of the Final Paper is for you to culminate the learning achieved in the course by describing your understanding and application of knowledge in the field of accounting.

The Final Paper should focus on real life, real time application of topics covered in this course; the uses you have seen and the uses you can envision. The paper must be submitted to your instructor no later than the last day of class. Earlier submittal is appreciated.

Identify at least 2 federal regulations violated and 2 industry-standard frameworks that address protecting PII to support your claims which address or cover how a bank is required to remain in compliance and provide examples from the case study.

Need help with my Writing question – I’m studying for my class.

Scenario: There was a surge of attacks on banks where the attackers were targeting card processing in Eastern Europe. Having penetrated the bank’s infrastructure, criminals obtained access to card processing systems and transferred funds from multiple accounts. They also disabled antifraud systems that would ordinarily notify the bank of fraudulent transactions. Simultaneously, their accomplices were withdrawing cash from ATMs in another country.

The bank’s infrastructure contained the following:

The company runs open-source database, e-mail, and web servers. Employees can access the network via desktop computers that are available in the main office or by using their personal devices. The main office uses the Wireless Encryption Privacy (WEP) Protocol to connect to its wireless network. When training at the main office, volunteers access the Internet via the wireless network. Passwords are not required to be changed, and some employees have been using the same access credentials since joining the organization. Although the employee handbook includes a policy on acceptable use and password maintenance, these policies have never been enforced and have not been updated in years. The employee handbook also states the organization’s security goal to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of the customer data.
