I’m stuck on a Computer Science question and need an explanation.

Your boss mentions that recently a number of employees have received calls from individuals who didn’t identify themselves and asked a lot of questions about the company and its computer infrastructure. At first, he thought this was just a computer vendor who was trying to sell your company some new product, but no vendor has approached the company. He also says several strange e-mails requesting personal information have been sent to employees, and quite a few people have been seen searching your company’s trash dumpsters for recyclable containers. Your boss asks what you think about all of these strange incidents. Respond and be sure to provide recommendations on what should be done about the various incidents.

reply:I think all the different sets of calls employees received from various unknown individuals are a clear indication of Scam calls, which could have been handled by employees by ignoring the calls and reporting a complaint about the incident in the first place. This did not happen in this case because of the lack of security threats awareness in employees. If there are necessary threat awareness sessions in the company on a monthly or quarterly basis there would have been a lot of difference in handling these sorts of situations. Employees would have immediately reported to the company’s security team about the phishing calls and avoided the total damage and loss of confidential data.

Recommendation:

Every Employer must include security awareness sessions and should be making sure that all the employees are attending different workplace Security and safety awareness sessions. So that they will be aware of different kinds of possible phishing attacks, scam calls and safety measures to consider during attacks and the employee must also be directed not to provide any information through any medium to any unknown person. Employers should also conduct phishing attack drills at regular intervals to make employees aware of phishing attack trends. Companies should impel every employee to be having some limited knowledge about the basic social engineering fundamentals including social engineering by phone, dumpster diving, on-line social engineering, reverse social engineering and persuasion to identify threats easily. Companies should encourage having only limited knowledge over social engineering fundamentals to avoid any insider threats. Security is all about maintaining the trust, Employer should consider random examination to employees who manage critical data. Equally, All employees should also be guarding information by considering company-related information as more critical and valuable. Overall the company management should maintain proper and appropriate security measures in storing confidential information.

Once you’ve observed your artwork and taken notes on your observations, you will write your paper. It must be a minimum of 1000 words. This is a research paper. Your research and observations should be illuminated by the class lectures and readings as well as outside sources (Internet sites, scholarly journals, books, etc.) Remember to properly credit your sources.

A typical paper will spend the first part giving background about the artist and the style/movement to which your selected artwork belongs (ie. Renaissance art). In the next part of your paper you will describe your artwork from the museum in detail using terms learned in class (ie. sculpture in the round, complementary colors, etc.). You will first describe the form and then address the content (iconography, narrative, etc.). You may also want to talk about the artwork’s significance – how it may be a political statement or shows an innovative style, for example.

In the rest of the paper you will compare/contrast the artwork to an artwork that has been discussed in our class (either in my Lectures or in the textbook). You should select a work of art that is more similar than different (in terms of similar time period and/or similar iconography). You will discuss how the works are similar and then how they are different, mentioning at least 3 ways they are the same and 3 ways they are different. You should write at least one page for this comparison (five paragraphs). Remember, the best comparisons have more similarities than differences. The comparison can be from either Unit 1 or Unit 2.

The paper should be double-spaced and 12-point font in either Times New Roman or Arial and a minimum of 1000 words. Your paper must include a Works Cited page at the end.

Visual art communicates to us. Think about putting the communication experience of looking at an artwork into poetic words. To keep all of your poems short, sweet, and standardized, we will use the format of the Japanese Haiku.

Find Your Artwork:

Find the piece of art that is to inspire your poem. You can opt to use an artwork from your textbook. If you choose this route, any chapter, including those not covered in this course (such as the chapters on African or Asian art) is fine. You can also choose to find the artwork in public spaces or museums. Either way, you will have to attach the image of your chosen artwork to your thread.

Create your Haiku:

A haiku uses just a few words to capture a moment and create a picture in the reader’s mind. It is like a tiny window into a scene much larger than itself.

Traditionally, haiku is written in three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line.

Line 1 = 5 syllables

Line 2 = 7 Syllables

Line 3 = 5 Syllables
