In this creative writing assignment, you must travel back in time and imagine what life was like for an individual in the past. This process helps develop an understanding of the impact of time and space on personal perspective. It also provides practice composing narratives in order to describe (1) how peoples, cultures and institutions change over time, and (2) how personal identities related to culture, gender, race or religion affect historical perspective. Research what everyday life was like for your character during the period covered in this module. While you research, keep in mind that references such as historic dates, actual places and events add credibility and interest to your writing.Compose a fictional, first person narrative either in Journal format or a two page, double-spaced paper as outlined below.Be as accurate as possible. For example, your character will not be able to use cell phones or a computer. What modes of transportation were readily available in their location? In what types of social activities did people from their gender, race, and/or class engage?Include a bibliography of at least three sources you used in your research. You should, by this point, be using the “best” resources available. Be careful of unreliable sources. Properly format your bibliography in Chicago Style.

The Essay should describe what happened and what atrocities governments in El Salvador, Iraq, and Afghanistan carried out. It should also express an opinion of what the U.S government should be doing differently in an ideal world.  Questions to answer: (ARGUE ABOUT) What should be the moral & legal obligation of the US & its agents, both civilian & military (for example, soldiers, marines, or workers for the U.S state department) for relations with a government engaged in atrocities? What is the actual US government record with regards to these nations’ governments carrying out said atrocities?

In May of 2013 petitioner, Gerald Mitchell was arrested after the City of Sheboygan Police Department received a 911 call of a visibly intoxicated individual operating a motor vehicle. The officer that found Mr. Gerald proceeded to administer a preliminary breath test which came back with a reading of 0.24%. While being transported to the police station Mr. Gerald past out unconsciously, the officer transporting him determined that a more incriminating test would not be possible at the station because of Mr. Gerald’s condition and instead opted to drive him to a hospital where he instructed them to draw blood from Mr. Gerald without his consent or any official warrant. President Ronald Reagan served as president from 1980-1988 (officially 1981-1989). Many scholars, political pundits, and presidential history gurus regularly mention the strong base that Reagan had in the religious right. This segment of society found a champion for many of the religiously-based values that they held dear in the candidacy of Reagan. If we consider that Reagan had been divorced, gained his notoriety as an actor in Hollywood, and served as the governor of the now-recognized “liberal” state of California, why did conservative Christians embrace this man as their president over, say, John Anderson (who fit the bill even better)? Related to a great thread in last week’s forum, did the acceptance of Reagan (and, hence, these qualities described above) signal a change in the evolution of religious (read: conservative Christians’) Americans’ acceptance of certain moral standards?

Create a character or choose a real person who lived during the Black Death. Write that person’s account of the Black Death in either the first or third person. So, it will not make sense if you write about it.  Just stick to the book for guidance and Hatcher. It has to be from the understanding and point of view of a person that lived during the Bubonic plague during the 14th century.
